Deck the halls and start thinking about your Christmas dinner! If you are planning on harvesting veggies from your garden for your Christmas dinner, now is the time to start planting. At tonight’s Our Whole Community program, OWC Consultant Tia Meer taught 20 attendees how to plant seeds to be ready to harvest in December. Just some of the veggies that Tia talked about were squash, beans, cucumbers, carrots and more.
Tia’s programming always includes a hands on experience and samples. Attendees walked away with herbs, seeds and more. They also enjoyed delicious teas infused with herbs from the garden.
The OWC Garden is located at 550 W. Morse Boulevard in Winter Park and the garden entrance is on Welbourne Avenue.
The next OWC garden program is Gifts from the Garden at Novemer 3rd, from 9 am – 1 pm, at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church Learning Garden.
